You can add up to 5 advertising positions in the Paperlit apps:
- Storefront banners
- HTML5 Overlay
- Sponsor logo
- Interstitial
- Banner at the bottom of the reader
Please find the related section in the Paperlit Dashboard: Features -> Custom Banners
1) Storefront banners
This option is available only for the "Template 4"and "Template 5". You can add up to 3 rotator banners by inserting the URLs in the Paperlit dashboard. The banners will swipe automatically or manually. Here the specs.
.
2) HTML5 Overlay
HTML5 Overlays work like a "mini-website" above the PDF. You can create an HTML5 animated page and add it on the PDF using the Paperlit Multimedia Editor. Please note, overlays appear automatically on top of the page you put them. The lighter the page you create, the faster they will load. There is no X to close the overlay, it will disappear by flipping through the pages. Here the specs.
3) Sponsor logo
You can find this together with the logo of the publication on the splash page screen, with full screen visibility, before you get to the page with the choice of the different publications available. This page lasts 3 seconds. The sponsor logo is a PNG positioned in the lower center (1/3) and is typically 100x100 pixel. These logos are NOT clickable.
The sponsor logo must be an link of an image. E.g. https://extra.paperlit.com/public/adv/sponsor-logo.png
4) Interstitial
Full screen banner which can be closed by user by clicking on the X in the upper right corner (iOS) or clicking the home button (android). Interstitial is delivered regularly and can be shown upon opening of a new publication (editor’s choice). Typical interstitial dimensions are 700x700px for iPad and IAB 300x250px for iPhone and Android (tablet and smartphones). The interstitial can be clickable in the same way banners are.
The interstitial must be a .php or an .html page. E.g. https://extra.paperlit.com/public/adv/interstitial-ipad.html
If you decide to turn the interstitial off, just return a 404 error.
.
5) Banner
The banner can be found in the bottom of the page, central, a position which allows for high visibility. The standard size is 216x36 pixel. This banner can be closed by the reader with a swipe and it will appear again when a new ad is served.
The banner must be a .php or an .html page. E.g. https://extra.paperlit.com/public/adv/banner-ios.html
